US Climate Change Fellowship
Fellowship Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for six Australian local government professionals to undertake a Fellowship to the United States in 2011 to consider climate change issues and initiatives.
LGMA in partnership with ICMA – International City/County Management Association (funded by the US State Department through its Professional Fellows Program) is offering six exchange fellowships to the United States.
The goal of these fellowships is to generate “learning experience for local government professionals with experience and interest in climate action planning, climate change adaptation and effective local governance”.
LGMA National have just opened applications for the second round of the US Climate Change Fellowship. The second round of Australian fellows will be in the United States from the 16th of September to the 23rd of October 2011.
Applications who were unsuccessful in the first round are welcome to have their application considered in this second round.
It is likely that the participants in this second round will have the opportunity to participate in ICMA's Annual Conference which will be a great networking opportunity for LGMA members.
